My uncle is an incredible researcher. Having devoted his career to medical research in the field of epidemiology, today he focuses his academic explorations on the history of Puerto Rico, particularly on the ways that Puerto Rico’s history has been documented and taught. During one of his investigations he came about this gorgeous piece at The British Library collection, published in 1878: Historia de Puerto Rico (Cuadro sinóptico, caligráfico, alegórico, histórico y administrativo de la Isla de Puerto Rico.) Not only is it curious for its content, but the design requires a viewing for all of the small details embedded in it. The original piece can be found at The British Library.
